this is one of the best places i’ve ever received food from. i was a bit unsure initially because i thought the pick up building was a little odd but it was 1000% worth it! the pickup location is a black warehouse, and when you order they’ll send you a link to unlock a locker inside of the warehouse when your food is ready. there are numbered lockers on the inside wall, and all i had to do was click the link to unlock the locker and grab my food. i tried the good for the soul plate (yams, collard greens, mac, and fried chick’n) and i was happy to see the large portion! there was plenty of mac and cheese, and it was the best mac i’ve had as of posting. the yams were also exceptional. i’d recommend this plate because of the sampling variety. i was also interested in the wings, so i tried half bbq and half lemon pepper. the texture of the “chicken” was impressively realistic, and although the bbq was my favorite because of the sauce, i enjoyed the lemon pepper as well. the last thing i tried was the lobster melt. the fries that came with it were well seasoned, and the lobster melt itself held a lot of flavor. i didn’t find the cheese to be sticky or glue-y, and thought the lobster was pretty accurate. definitely a good order. overall i’d definitely recommend because i could probably eat here every day! all the food was very well seasoned and packed a punch. the portion sizes are huge, the mac and cheese is a must-try

I ordered the soul plate and it was very good and the portions were large, which I was happy about. I also ordered the lemon cake and it was very good. I am happy they are located on the south side now. I had this place before when it was located in Downtown Atlanta.

I really enjoyed my food! Everything was seasoned well & tasted amazing. The portion sizes are very big so you definitely get enough of everything. I loved the soul rolls! It is a great option if you’re vegan looking to experience some soul food.

I’ve ordered from Planted Soul via food delivery and also online for pickup. It is a ghost kitchen where you pick up. The food has been consistently delicious! I always get the Jamaica Me Crazy; fried “chicken” topped with spicy jerk sauce, Mac n cheese, greens, and rice and peas, everything is perfectly seasoned. My most recent visit, my brother came along and ordered the Good 4 The Soul; southern fried “chicken” wings, mac n cheese, collard greens and candied yams. He said the greens were “bussin’”; this is an extremely positive term ha ha! And he also said “whoever working the kitchen did their thing with these yams”! He’s not plant-based on vegan and greatly enjoyed the food too!

I was in ATL visiting from Los Angeles. Found this spot and let me tell you it was AMAZING! The food, the service and the vibe were unmatched. I ordered the oxtails with rice and beans along with the Mac and cheese, yams and cornbread. And let me tell you how fire the collard green egg rolls and the Oreos for dessert were. Well done.

Change of review below Original:The overall food was dissatisfying , and our expectations were not met. The cajun pasta had no type of seasoning or sauce and it was not close like the picture that was displayed online. The cornbread was not received, instead we received a burnt toast. The greens had no flavor. The Mac and cheese was ok. The fried Oreos was the best tasting thing. Overall experience 3/10 for a 50 order. Update: I went back after speaking with the lead chef about my previous order and let me sayyyyyy WINNER WINNER VEGAN DINNER they over delivered with the pasta, greens, and their cornbread which was included this time that I love...listen everything was seasoned to perfection, fresh, and deliciously satisfying! I’ll tell you tooo give them a chance and you will be highly satisfied nothing’s perfect and when running a business it’s up and down days, but I assure you they listened and they strive to make matters right and I do the same the reason for updating my experience and letting you all know the changes they’ve made! 10/10 Support updated photos of everything! Also I’ve eaten here prior before that review with a great experience my reason for trying them again after addressing the issue and will be supporting moving forward!

Delicious food. The greens were just a little extra salty. But I’m still giving it a 5 because I love the food here and have purchased it multiple times. Each time it was consistently good. The vegan mac and cheese is rich, the yams are seasoned well and the cornbread tastes like cake. Everything is very rich and this is not light vegan food so be warned. Finally, I love the owner/cook. The last visit, she gave me a little complimentary serving of vegan banana pudding. I ate that like a starving hyena. It was so good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Omg!! I love this place I have to eat here atleast once a month or when I’m craving it. The Jamaican Me Crazy hits every time. It was my first time trying the fried Oreos & they busss definitely will get them next time. Now honestly I’m not big on the Philly egg roll it was not good at all. But the greens yams and Mac & cheese egg rolls are pretty good. Thanks Planted Soul for the amazing food each and every time.
